Mebane dentist Eric Steinbicker, DDS gives back to the local community whenever possible. With deep roots in Alamance, Orange and Caswell counties, Steinbicker Family Dentistry makes every effort to give back to the people that we treat.
Also, our office team tries to participate in community activities. We enjoy showing appreciation for where we live and the people that live in the area. Also, we are excited to be a part of Mebane!
Dr. Steinbicker underwent almost two years of chemotherapy, radiation, and stem cell transplant therapy starting in 2016 after being diagnosed with cancer. Shortly after beginning treatment, he built the Polar Express Christmas parade float for our local parade.
Dr. Steinbicker was inspired to build the float to represent the word BELIEVE…belief in God, our prayers, and the importance of each. Below is a picture of Dr. Steinbicker and team with the Polar Express float which we ride in the local parade each year.
Our second big event in giving back is a free dental day we call Pay It Forward. Dr. Steinbicker started this initiative in 2013 to spread altruism throughout the community. The thought process is to perform one act of kindness (free dental treatment) per person, and each person must complete a good deed for three other people in return.

ALAMANCE SCHOOL SYSTEM
Woodlawn middle school
Each year Steinbicker Family Dentistry donates money for sports and to classrooms in Alamance County. Also, in 2013, our office contributed towards the construction of new locker rooms at Woodlawn middle school.
As your Mebane dental team, we also contributed to provide new basketball uniforms for the Woodlawn women’s basketball team.
Eastern Alamance high school
Steinbicker Family Dentistry donated funds to help the construction of the new Eastern Alamance field house. Also, we provided funds to help Eastern Alamance women’s varsity players during their annual Christmas basketball tournament since 2008.
Hawfields middle school
Since 2016 Steinbicker Family Dentistry has sponsored the 8th-grade science study island. As a result, this STEM center can provide essential materials for students to learn about science, mathematics, technology, and engineering.

Alamance Artisans Guild Art Extravaganza

Alamance Chamber of Commerce
Steinbicker Family Dentistry has been a member of the Alamance Chamber of Commerce since 2013.
Alamance Community College (i.e., ACC)
Dr. Steinbicker served two terms on the dental assisting advisory board at ACC from 2011 to 2013. Steinbicker Family Dentistry has made contributions to Alamance Community College since 2007. As a result, these contributions are used to help pay for student tuition and books.
Children’s Museum of Alamance County
Steinbicker Family Dentistry donates to the Children’s Museum of Alamance County. Also, we helped sponsor the 1st Annual Butterfly Ball at the museum in 2014.
As a result, the museum encourages children to exercise their curiosity, develop their imagination, and discover their world through exploration. Dr. Steinbicker’s wife, Mariola Steinbicker, has served on the visitor board for the museum.
EM Yoder Elementary School
Dr. Steinbicker attended EM Yoder Elementary. Each year we help by sponsoring their annual Fall Festival. He is proud to be an Eagle!
Kiwanis Club of Mebane
Steinbicker Family Dentistry sponsors a hole in the Kiwanis annual golf tournament to help support the Mebane’s Kiwanis chapter.
Mebane Dogwood Festival
Steinbicker Family Dentistry provides donations for the annual Dogwood Festival golf tournament to support the Mebane Small Business Association.

Mebane on the Move
Since 2015 Steinbicker Family Dentistry has sponsored Mebane on the Move which promotes good health and wellness in the Mebane community through education and physical activities.

Steinbicker Family Dentistry has been a member of the Mebane Small Business Association since 2013.
Mebane Youth Soccer Association
As a sponsor for Mebane youth soccer teams, we help nourish sportsmanship among young athletes and encourage a healthy lifestyle through sport participation.
Pay It Forward
In 2013 our office started a day of free dental treatment called Pay It Forward. Steinbicker Family Dentistry provides free dental treatment for anyone who believes they cannot afford it otherwise.

Chestnut Ridge Trail Run
Steinbicker Family Dentistry donates to Chestnut Ridge. As a result, we help support the camping ministry enhances facilities and helps send children and youth to camp through Chestnut Ridge’s scholarship fund.
Efland Ruritan Rodeo
Steinbicker Family Dentistry helps sponsor the annual rodeo in Efland, NC.
JW Athletics Foundation
Steinbicker Dentistry has sponsored this nonprofit organization which promotes athletics as a way to nurture sports and mental growth.
GIVING BACK
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (i.e., LLS)
Steinbicker Family Dentistry contributes to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (i.e., LLS) which helps fund research to combat blood cancers.
Piedmont Land Conservancy (i.e., PLC)
Donations to Piedmont Land Conservancy (i.e., PLC) in celebration of Earth Day 2016. As a result, it has helped the Piedmont Land Conservancy (i.e., PLC) to purchase North Carolina land to permanently protect and conserve our rivers and streams, natural and scenic areas and wildlife.
Pinwheel’s and Promises – UNC Children’s Hospital
Donations were made to UNC-Chapel Hill (i.e., UNC-CH) Children’s Hospital to raise awareness and financial support for pediatric healthcare.
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Steinbicker Family Dentistry has donated to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (i.e., UNC-CH) and the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill since 2007. Also, Dr. Steinbicker and his wife have both served on the dental hygiene (i.e., RDH) advisory committee at UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry.
