The Mebane Christmas parade is Alamance County’s only nighttime parade. As part of giving back to our communnity, the Steinbicker Family Dentistry team participates in the Mebane Christmas parade each year. In 2016 Dr. Eric Steinbicker transformed a 1980 Chevrolet school bus into the Polar Express train as seen in the movie and book titled The Polar Express. The theme of the Polar Express train is “believe” – belief in Christ, our Father and the Holy Spirit. We ask spectators to bring a jingle bell with them to ring as the Polar Express goes by to show their faith in Christ. The ringing of the bells also represent any prayers people in Mebane, NC need answered.
People who don’t have bells can pick them up at Steinbicker Family Dentistry the week of the parade. Tickets are not necessary as this Christmas event is free. Thousands of us can pray together for one another’s needs through the ringing of the bells and to commemorate the birth of Jesus, the true meaning of Christmas. “The bell still rings for those who truly believe.” On December 1st each year, our community gets together to see how loud we can make downtown Mebane to show that we BELIEVE.
